Vice Chancellor's ambition was not high, just intended to boost UM ranking to the global top 100 in 5 years time. But how's going to be done? No real actions or solutions are shown by him actually, he was inspiring us to find solutions on our own, for the betterment of this University without any rewards nor returns.
His talked in a way constantly against his own ambition. Take an obvious instance, he was urging us to speak in English so that to increase our employability however at the same time he's constantly blending Malay languages into his supposed-to-be-English speech... Speechless.
The University needs to restructure its priority, this is what I would say so far and it's believed many of us also would agree on this. I think most of us have got the image of an University wrong as we treat University a place for us to join many activities. I am not against activities for I myself also have taken a lead in several projects or activities. But, personally, it's way too much, don't u think so?
