Measures I (Over)Took to Protect my Microsoft Account with Two-Step Verification

My friend once told me that, whatever things kept on internet are not safe. Yet, we are all still have use internet all the time, aren't we?

So, what I think is intelligent to do is creating more layers of security to protect your accounts.

I am sharing this out so that you may know how to protect yours too.

Firstly, activate your two-step verification in your Microsoft account.

Then, you will be asked to install an authenticator app in your smart phone. Why? Because with an authenticator app, you can get security codes even if your phone isn't connected to a cellular network. An authenticator app generates a new security code every 30 seconds. Authenticator apps are available for many smartphones today, and most of them will work with your Microsoft account.

Next, pair the app with your Microsoft account by scanning this bar code.
If you have a Windows Phone, get Microsoft's authenticator app. If you have an iOS, Android, or BlackBerry device, search your app store for an authenticator app.

Here's a recap:
1. Set up an authenticator app by accessing to your App Store/Android
2. Install Google Authenticator (I installed this one, you select other authenticator, because they are all the same)
3. Now, sign in into your Microsoft account, go to Security Info, then click create two-step verification.
4. Follow the steps, then open your authenticator app, then scan the bar code on appears on the two-step verification screen.
5. A bar code is generated. So, key in the code.
6. Sync your Outlook mails into your iPhone. Go to Microsoft page to obtain an app password, then go back to your phone, go to Setting, access "Mail, Contacts, Calendar", go to your Microsoft account, then replace the password with the app password provided.
7. Click "Done"
