I cud stil rmb GUNZ taught me INTRUDE this word, Gunbound taught me AVATAR, PATCH by Red Alert, Terrosist by Counter Strike, etc… Then at sch, ppl spam english like org putih. Some humble frens spoke in a softer, gentler tone, that’s all it made da difference from ppl who SPEAK for the sake of speaking… English teacher, Pn Aliza Kadir taught me 2 years of english, graded me as average learner. Main challenge confronted me when I studied science & maths subject in english(English was 1st time introduced as the medium of teaching in Science & Maths subjects). Some students dun und "differ by 10", "…reciprocal of x", "…simultaneously at time t = 10 s", ETC. Wa mana tau semua INI! If the english words is long, sounds weird & rarely seen, I won’t be able to recall such word, not as smooth as I could rmb for the words like fuc*, v*gin*, peni*, virgin, etc. My mum left me wit her TREASURE-Books written by Milon Nandy. I nv realize these’re good books. Sikap acuh-tak-acuh, took english to slp/do other homework… There’s even 1 time my relative said wanted to take me to Birtish COuncil to put my command of english into test… I scared til HALF LIFE(decay at the rate of 5 sec, LOL). Without much thought, I did da world dumbest thing, MEMORIZE ANY WORDS found in Little Oxford Dictionary(which I am stil using til today, though very very obsolete, out-dated, as some advanced words cannot be found, I still fond of using it). Da result showed that I was under Intermediate level. Da Britain gal stil bai fei xin ji described to me all da detail of da ENGLISH course, not knowing that I/my family couldn’t affort ur EXORBITANT monthly fee.

Basically, their actions hav stirred my realization up. Bei hiao english bei ho sei! Particularly in F4, so many presentations muz be done in english, EST teacher wanted us to submit report(in english, ah bo then?)weekly… Exhausted. Think in ENGLISH, dare to write in english even though I dun reli know what I am writing(Swt ~_~"), such act can be approximated as the depiction of da slogan "Just do IT" 3. Willing to admit mistake & learn from mistake but unwilling give up. 4. Be a continual learner.
My learning process was catalysed by dedicated teachers, Pn.Aliza Kadir(F1 & F2), Pn. Ang(F3), "Uncle" Felix(my tuition teacher who’s da most helpful) & also some of my friends: Chin Yong Li(He got band 6, congrats to him lah)(F3,F5), Koay Keat Yang(F3), Guan Eujin (F1), Seumas Teh (gone to Australia liao)(F4)… Without their assistance, I won’t be able to be what I am today.
While being contented by the MUET result(is a band 5), I still very conscious of my own weaknesses, limitations & insufficience, still hunger for improvements & therefore will continue to strive to thrive. Like what my fren, Lip Hoo wrote in his Facebook, nothing in this world worth achieving if easy. And I say, your achievement commensurate with EFFORTS!
