Life in UM

I took bus, and only three begs laden with clothes & basic necessities, reached in front of my kediaman 1. It was 6.50am in the morning, the atmosphere was damp & fresh, occasionally heard of birds’ chirping, as if they were welcoming my presence. I have strong feeling indeed once alighted from the bus. Kediaman 1(Asrama Tuanku Abdul Rahman-ASTAR) has been notable for its historical significance & at the same, has been the place where Stars were borned. I wish I were one of them, maybe in 10 years time from now, hehe!                  8.30am, fine weather, not many people yet, however, the registration counter has opened for us, early birds^^. I registered according to the procedure. Met with some friends, some were from my alma mater, some were from KMJ. It’s a wonderful experience of meeting people that you know in an unfamiliar place. Coolz! The registration didn’t take much time. I then was checked in into room D206, here you know I am living in block D. If not mistaken, there are 5 blocks, namely A, B, C, D & E. D & E are reserved for boys whereas the other blocks are for girls.
10am, not yet eat my breakfast, starving. I went to "explored" the koperasi, gosh, the Indian Pak Cik has terrible attitude. Whatever it is, I bought my so-called breakfast & left. After filling up my stomach, I went back to my room & saw two of roommates have arrived. Both are Chinese, one is nice-looking, the other one looks very wise & polite. And I got to the first impression they gave me are still correct, till now, at least. Grateful for having both of them as my roommates. One of my new roommates’ parents even offered to help cleaning up the room. At the end of our endeavour, our room is so clean that I wouldn’t hesitate to declare it as HOME. =)
1.45pm, the time where parents have to leave & the whole kediaman soon turned into HELL. Here we have PM (not perdana menteri, rather Pembantu Mahasiswa) to help us through, almost from A-Z. Today’s mahasiswa are so pampered, don’t you think so? Anyway, the Haluansiswa was successfully held. And I have participated actively in one of the notable events, namely UM CARES, & we turned out to be the overall champion. UM CARES team consisting of 20 persons, I was unofficially the leader of the group(simply because I know slightly better about the flow of operating process of making the product-Table with Recycle bin). I am grateful for all of them have been helpful in making the project a success. thank to PMs too who have not been fail in providing us the materials & resources that we need. This award immensely inspired me, & boost my confidence level, & serve as the early indicator of my quality leadership. I hope no one is feeling I am blowing my own trumpet, haha
4am, Saturday, our Haluansiswa finally ended. Though the Minggu Haluansiswa has been officially delcared end at the time we were in DTC (Dewan Tun Canselor, the great hall of UM, which was once burnt by a group of mischievious), PMs felt it’s their time & right to fool us, after serving us for so long, I guess it’s afterall worthwhile, let us reward them by being fooled. Sobx + Yippee.
Now, it’s my 2nd day I am studying in UM. The life resembles that in KMJ. The only difference is that lecturers have the special special honourable title in front of their names, for instance, Prof. Ir, Prof. Madya, Prof, Dr, etc. UM is damn big, I walk till leg a bit tired. But it shouldn’t be the case of an athlete, anyway. Haha! Guess I must pick up back. Tommorrow I have class, got to sleep early. Good night. Will update more in the nearest future.
Footnote: "Keep in touch" this phrase means you approach me, not just me who approach you. Missing somebody is easy, realizing someone is not missing you feels so difficult. Let these thing KIV temporarily. Haiz… Adieu!
